In May, over 200 young people joined Young Fiends of the Earth Cyprus for a food sovereignty weekend - a chance to lean practical tips about how to build a better, fairer and more localised food system.

Amigos de la Tierra Juventud La Rioja/YFoE Spain organised a training with rural youth in Muro de Aguas, in the north of Spain to better understand and connnect with youth in rural communities on environmental and social justice issues.

Youth participants learned the basic concepts of how rural communities are at risk of depopulation, and specifically the role of women farmers and livestock from an ecofeminist point of view.

(Young) Friends of the Earth Ireland hosted a public information evening on the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) in partnership with Friends of the Earth Ireland and Foodture, as part of the Growing Together project.

The event welcomed four experts from four different approaches – a farmer, an activist, an academic and a politician. Each expert hosted a round table with members of the public to discuss how citizens can influence the CAP and what they should foucs on.
